About Me

অন্তর্জালে আমাকে খুঁজে নিতে চাইলে:-

When I was sitting on the flight to Sweden which was about to take off, I had bunches of dreams that were going through my head. Coming from a third-world country to setting my foot in one of the first-world countries of the world, the journey was never smooth, it did not end there either.

12 years later from that day, I am a social sciences researcher, a mobile journalist, an academician and guess what, a memer too!

“Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get”. 10 years ago from that day on the plane, I never thought of accomplishing such a great height. I was a hard-working student who achieved higher grades in University examinations, an apprentice journalist who managed to produce some lead stories for one of the national dailies of the country and a pure go-to-guy for my friends and peers.

I had the dreams of becoming one of the greats in my field and had a lot of dreams to accomplish. Standing on today’s date, I can think of myself as one of the most successful personalities in my field if not one of the greats.

I am proud to say that, I studied and carried out research at the University of Chittagong (Bangladesh) and the School of Education and Communication (HLK), Jönköping University (Sweden). In addition to teaching, I spend my time working as a freelance mobile journalist (MoJo) and multimedia trainer. Before joining the University teaching, I worked as a reporter in two prominent Bangladeshi daily newspapers. My research interests include Mobile Journalism (MoJo), media and society, the social and political movement of Bangladesh, multimedia editing, newspaper design, and film studies.

I contributed several scholarly articles and book chapters to renowned national and international publications. As part of my teaching and research work, I participated in several national and international conferences, training, workshop, and special talks/lecture at the different universities in Bangladesh and India.

I am a founding coordinator of Indo Bangla Media Educators Network, a networking platform for Media educators, journalists, and researchers of Bangladesh and India. I regularly write popular articles and features in the mainstream media of Bangladesh and India on various contemporary issues. Thanks for coming here. My addiction is to discover myself in an unknown place. Travelling around the globe, and getting to know new people is my hobby. I don’t get much retirement. My days are spent reading books, watching movies and web series and preparing to teach. What I love the most, is planning. And when I see that plan being implemented, I am not happy about it. Because, as it should be – this confidence keeps me alive. I sincerely believe in the words of the Pabitra Mukherjee- ‘whoever goes far, I tell him to walk slowly!’
